【摘要】:Thistechnicalreportappliestoallcommerciallyavailablefibreopticproductssensitivetopolarizationmodedispersion(PMD).ThisreportpresentsgeneralinformationaboutPMD,themathematicalformulationrelatedtotheapplicationofthegenerallyacceptedmethodstotestPMD,andsomeconsiderationsrelatedtothesamplingtheoryregardingtheuseofdifferentlightsourcesanddetectionsystems.ThisreportiscomplementarytotheInternationalStandardsdescribingthePMDprocedures(IEC60793-1-48,IEC61280-4-4,IEC61290-11-1,IEC61290-11-2andIEC61300-3-32)andotherdesignguidesonPMD(IEC61282-3andIEC61292-5).
