【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardestablishesanddefinesavoluntarystandardnumberingsystemfortheuniqueandinternationalidentificationofaudiovisualworks(asdefinedin3.1).AnInternationalStandardAudiovisualNumber(ISAN)identifiesanaudiovisualworkthroughoutitslifeandisintendedforusewhereverpreciseanduniqueidentificationofanaudiovisualworkwouldbedesirable.Asanidentifier,itmaybeusedforvariouspurposes,suchastoassistallocationofroyaltiesamongrightholders,totracktheuseofaudiovisualworks,forinformationretrievalandforanti-piracypurposes,suchasverifyingtitleregistrations.TheISANcanalsoprovideabasisforsupplementaryidentificationsystemswhenversionorproductinformationisrequired(e.g.forapplicationssuchasbroadcastautomationandautomatedstorageandretrievalsystems).AnISANisappliedtotheaudiovisualworkitself.Itisnotrelatedtothephysicalmediumofsuchanaudiovisualwork,ortheidentificationofthatmedium.AnnexAspecifiesexamplesofaudiovisualworksforwhichanISANmaybeissuedandexamplesofworksforwhichISANarenotissued.TheissuanceofanISANisinnowayrelatedtoanyprocessofcopyrightregistration,nordoestheissuanceofanISANprovideevidenceoftheownershipofrightsinanaudiovisualwork.
