【摘要】:Thepurposeofthistestmethodistodefineaprocedurefortestingcomponentsbeingconsideredforinstallationintoahigh-puritygasdistributionsystem.Applicationofthistestmethodisexpectedtoyieldcomparabledataamongcomponentstestedforpurposesofqualificationforthisinstallation.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthetestingofcomponentsfortotalhydrocarbons(THC)contributiontoagasdistributionsystematambienttemperature.Inaddition,thistestmethodallowstestingofthecomponentatelevatedambienttemperaturesashighas70176C.1.2Thistestmethodappliestoin-linecomponentscontainingelectronicsgradematerialsinthegaseousform,suchasthoseusedinsemiconductorgasdistributionsystems.1.3Limitations:1.3.1Thistestmethodislimitedbythesensitivityofcurrentinstrumentation,aswellasbytheresponsetimeoftheinstrumentation.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtobeusedforcomponentslargerthan12.7-mm(1/2-in.)outsidediameternominalsize.Thistestmethodcouldbeappliedtolargercomponents;however,thestatedvolumetricflowratemaynotprovideadequatemixingtoensurearepresentativesample.Higherflowratesmayimprovethemixingbutexcessivelydilutethesample.1.3.2Differentinstrumentalmethods(suchasflameionizationdetector(FID),massspectrometer(MS))willyieldtotalhydrocarbon(THC)levelsthatarenotcomparableduetodifferentsensitivitiestodifferentmolecularspecies.Hydrocarboncontaminantsofhigh-puritygasdistributionsystemscanbesubdividedintotwogeneralcategories:(1)noncondensablehydrocarbons(lt;C4),thatarepresentduetodifficultyofremovalandrelativeatmosphericabundance,and(2)condensablehydrocarbons,thatareoftenleftbehindoncomponentsurfacesasresidues.Condensablehydrocarbonsincludepumpoils,degreasingagents,andpolishingcompoundvehicles.1.3.3Becauseofthetremendousdisparityofhydrocarbonspecies,itissuggestedthatdirectcomparisonsbemadeonlyamongdatagatheredusingthesamedetectionmethod.1.3.4Thistestmethodisintendedforusebyoperatorswhounderstandtheuseoftheapparatusatalevelequivalenttosixmonthsofexperience.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardstatementsaregiveninSection6.
