【摘要】:Thistestmethodoffersalaboratorymeanstomeasuretheinertialpropertiesofbats,specificallyweight,balancepoint,centerofpercussion,andMOI,insupportofothertestmethodsincludingtheASTMstandardsreferencedinthisdocument.Useofthistestmethodcanprovidesportsgoverningbodiesthemeanstoestablishrulesregardingthephysicalpropertiesofbats,specificallyMOI.1.1Thistestmethodcoversamethodfordeterminingthemomentofinertia(MOI)andbalancepoint(BP)ofbaseballandsoftballbats.ThesephysicalpropertiesareusedincalculationsinotherkeyASTMstandards.1.2TheMOIandBParemeasuredinthelaboratoryontestequipmentmeetingtherequirementsdefinedinthistestmethod.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
