【摘要】:Certainsubstancesinadhesivesmaycausediscolorationofvinylflooring.Thistestmethodprovidesameansofmeasuringthediscolorationsthatmayoccurinthevinylasaresultofcontactwiththeseadhesives.Vinylflooringspecimens,eithercontactingornotcontactingtheadhesive,areexposedtoheatandUVAlighttoacceleratediscoloration.Bymeansofcolorimeterorspectrophotometer,colordifferencesbetweenexposedspecimensareaccuratelymeasured.Therefore,instrumentalevaluationratherthanpersonalsubjectiveevaluationisusedtodeterminetheamountofdiscolorationanadhesivemayproduceinvinylflooring.Thistestmethoddoesnotattempttosimulateorduplicatetheheatandsunlightconditionsthatmayimpactvinylfloorcoveringswhileinservice.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesproceduresandinstrumentationforaccuratelymeasuringthedegreeofstainingthatmayoccurinvinylflooringasaresultofitscontactwithadhesives.MeasuredcolordifferencesbetweenvinylflooringspecimenscontactingtheadhesiveandnotcontactingtheadhesiveareexpressedintheCIELABColor-ScaleSystem.1.2Thistestmethodprovidesforvisualevaluationofstainingwhichmayoccurwhenvinylflooringcontactsadhesives.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
