【摘要】:ThepurposeofthispartofIEC61300istodeterminetheresistanceofafibreopticdevicetothedeteriorativeeffectsofhightemperature,humidityandcoldconditions.Itisintendedtorevealdefectsinadeviceundertest(DUT)causedbybreathingasopposedtoabsorptionofmoisture.Thetestcoverstheeffectofthefreezingoftrappedwaterincracksandfissuresaswellascondensation.However,thedegreeofcondensationwillvarydependingonthesizeandthermalmassoftheDUT.Thistestdiffersfromothercyclicdampheattestsinthatitderivesitsincreasedseverityfrom:a)agreaternumberoftemperaturevariationsleadingtopumpingactionsinagiventime;b)agreatercyclictemperaturerange;c)ahigherrateofchangeoftemperature;d)theinclusionofanumberofexcursionstosub-zerotemperature.Thistypeoftestisparticularlyimportantforfibreopticdevicesmadeofavarietyofdifferentmaterials.
