【摘要】:Itisoftenusefultoestimatethedegreeofsaturation,andhencetheexpectedremainingservicelife,ofactivatedcarbonthathasbeeninuseforsometime.Thisguideisapplicablewhensuchinformationmustbeobtainedfairlyrapidlyunderfieldconditionswithoutaccesstooptimalanalyticalinstruments.31.1Thisguidecoversthemeasurementofthetemperatureriseresultingfromtheheatofimmersionwhenaknownmassofaspecifiedorganicliquidisaddedtoasampleofactivatedcarbon.Ifthecarbonhasbeeninuseasanadsorbentandmaythereforebepartiallyorfullyexhausted,itsdegreeofsaturationmaybeestimatedbycomparingitstemperaturerisewiththatofanunusedsampleofthesameactivatedcarbon.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
